Preparing for Yosemite 2012

The goal of the summer 2012 trip is to climb the Salathe route on El Capitan.  The plan is to split the climb up in four days at the end of May or the middle of August depending on weather.  The Salathe is technically more difficult than the Nose for climbers of our ability and has some very wide crack systems.  This means larger pieces and tricky aid-climbing.  Fortunately there seem to be many ledges for belaying and sleeping so no portable ledge will be necessary.  Feel free to contact us and share beta for the route or if you will be in the Valley let us know so we can hang out.

More detailed information coming soon on how we prepare for a climb of this magnitude.

We have been in Colorado for the past several weeks and are currently in Utah and then Wyoming.

There has been an insane amount of climbing and I can’t wait to review all of the pictures and videos from this massive road trip.
